Historical Preservation
The Covington Veterans Foundation is dedicated to the preservation of the documents, photographs, and other historical materials of our local veterans. We are working with the city of Andalusia and the Covington Historical Society to develop a military section in a new museum to showcase the service of our veterans.
If you wish to donate any materials or have questions about preservation, please email us at covvets@gmail.com. We have the capability of scanning and preserving these valuable photos and documents. You may also visit the link below at the National Archives for information about preserving your family’s history and photographs.
Your veteran's service can be memorialized through tribute banners displayed in downtown Andalusia in November of each year.
We work to document and preserve the service and history of local veterans. We hope you'll share your veteran's history with us.
A future plan is to partner with local schools to educate our students in citizenship and the research of local veterans.
